Can anyone let me know what i can do to repair this ceiling. We had this ceiling put in a year ago and already its cracking.

Here is a picture of the ceiling in my patio. I would like to know what is the best way to repair it, are there special nails I should use? Should I also use a special type of adhesive at the same time?
