I found this guy on my wall in my apartment. I've seen these before, but I never really knew what they were. Some kind of larvae? That's a dime in the pictures, so you can tell that he's really small. Any ideas?

I found this animal in my pool. It was swimming under the water, diving. As I got it caught, it waited until dry and the jumped or flew away.
Does anybody know what this is?
