Unknown berry/fruit tree or bushDescription:These bushes are in my backyard in Denver, Colorado. I've been here two years, and this was the first year the berries have ripened. The other year, a hailstorm knocked off most of the flowers. The flowers grew in a cluster, like grapes almost and were white and had a sweet fragrance. These berries are only about a half inch in diameter, have a deep red skin and light green flesh, like grapes and a big seed. The leaves are about 3 inches long, slightly serrated edges, and don't grow in pairs. I've seen birds and squirrels eating them. Anyone know what they are? Comments:

I think it may be a laurel, (Prunus laurocerasus) see http://www.mapability.com/gallery2/v/pestwalk/walk05/DSC06710.JPG.html and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cherry_Laurel
