Description:

I had this concrete installed about 6 months ago, as you can see in the photo, its drying in dark and light patches. I ask why is this? Concrete guy had no explanation, he said some batches of concrete are like that.

Was this poured in the fall or winter in an area that freezes? This person had a similar problem - http://en.allexperts.com/q/Construction-Industry-2404/Blotchy-Concrete-1.htm .

Someone told me its because of salt in the concrete. Nothing can be done to fix it. But i'm not certain.

You can try muriac acid which can be bought at your local hardware/pool store, pour some on and scrub. Be sure to wear gloves and this will burn right through your skin.

Just pick a color, and stain it with concret stain. Then it will all be the color, and last a very long time. wakazooka
