Possibly a Bristlecone pine. Is this in North America?

A windswept tree like that is probably not a Bristlecone pine which is a very slow growing tree. Faster growing trees tend to be affected by the wind like hawthorn or junipers. Without a close up of the leaves it is difficult to identify. Has it leaves or needles (Juniper)? And as Beneben says where was it?
