Toy Space Ship

Description:

I had this toy space ship since I was a young boy. I am wondering if anyone knew what it was called or (if applicable) where it originated from. My wildest guess would be something like a television show or some other science fiction world, and any information on the story behind it would be excellent. On the bottom of the toy the word "Hasbro" can barely be seen in raised plastic, but the rest has since worn off. I searched the Hasbro site, but found nothing, most likely due to the age of the toy. I am a child of the 80's and it was passed down to me during that time from an older cousin, so I don't know when it was first on shelves.

I doubt it is worth much because it is not complete. This is part of the Cobra Jet Pack from the G.I. Joe toy line. Here is a link to the G.I. Joy toys released in 1987, just search for "Jet Pack" (about 2/3 down the page.) - http://joes.propadeutic.com/1987.html#Equip

Thanks a lot! I had no idea it was an action figure accessory. I guess having it incomplete always had me believing it was some sort of space ship. Thanks for your help! If anyone has a picture of the full item with all the complete parts, I'd be interested in seeing it. (the picture on the site BenBen provided isn't too clear)

Your welcome. This site has several photographs and shows the individual parts - http://www.yojoe.com/vehicles/87/jetpack/
