Description:

I had a charter the other day and my client caught a big redfish. When I lifted the fish out of the water it seemed very skinny. I looked inside the mouth and saw a very large plastic ring blocking the fish's throat. I pulled it out with my pliers and hopefully saved the life of a spunky redfish. Any idea what that ring is and why the fish would eat such an item?

Looks like an O ring for a negative pressure coupling (moving liquid or high pressure gas through a line). Where were you fishing?
