The suburb was somewhere around the north side of Sydney harbour and I was the boy on the skateboard. I increased the pitch of the road to 30 degrees, which is difficult to stand on, and made the viewer the same height as the boy so that from the right viewpoint you should feel like you are standing on the road as well, inducing a sense of impending danger and vertigo. I built a ramp with a slope of 30 degrees to match the slope of the road and had a friend's child model on it for me. I then photographed him from the viewing position and used it as a reference." The original has been sold.
