Tags: nail stud spike plastic cap tool steel Description:I found a couple of these in the bottom of a drawer at home which used to contain tools. It is zinc coated steel I think (it is attracted to a magnet). It has a very sharp tip and a green plastic cap with a small dip/recess on the very top. The plastic cap can come off, albeit not very easily (I don't think it is meant to come off, as when I removed it the plastic cracked at the side) Dimensions: It is 55.45mm long, and 3.88mm in diameter. The diameter of the plastic cap/cover/lid is 7.95mm on the shoulder and 10.15mm on the top flat. The plastic cap is 8.7mm from top to bottom I took it down the pub the other night and asked all the guys down there (many of them are builders, carpenters etc) and none of them could identify it. Does anyone know what it is? Comments:
