It may or may not be, but not for a long time. And even so, as with all Apple products you'll get less for the buck. Just like a Mac, I could build a pc with better hardware for a 1/3 of the price. With this camera you'll probably be able to get a camera twice as powerful for the same price.

Everything can be photoshopped constantly. They didn't announce anything somewhat close to a hint during the Mac World conference. I doubt it, but who knows maybe it leaked.

I don't see this product fitting in to the current Apple product line. If they do I look forward to JohnDyksra building one for a third the price, will it also have a third the usability as well?

You never know, but I rather doubt it. While they've been integrating cameras into most of their products, there's not a lot that a digital camera itself can offer for them, innovation-wise, and not a lot for it to patch itself into. Meanwhile, the magazine was not telling you what WILL be coming out, but rather putting forth their own guesses about what Apple MIGHT have coming out in the future. Being an Apple product, however, guesses are always impossible to predict, and you won't hear ANYTHING official until it's almost on the market. (The iPhone was an uncommon release, and done so only because the paperwork they'd have to file with various public agencies would have broken their secrecy anyway.)
